Welcome to the EcoSentience Blog

Introducing our blog — a space for research updates, field observations, Aurora development news, and charity announcements.

By EcoSentience Team

We are delighted to launch the EcoSentience blog — a window into our work protecting and understanding ancient woodland ecosystems.

What to Expect

This blog will feature four streams of content, each reflecting a different facet of our mission:

Research

Summaries of our scientific findings, including eDNA analysis, biodiversity assessments, and ecological studies. We will translate peer-reviewed research into accessible articles that reveal what we are learning about woodland ecosystems.

Field Notes

Observations from Mickley Wood and other sites. Seasonal changes, wildlife sightings, restoration progress, and the everyday work of woodland stewardship. These posts bring you into the forest with us.

Aurora Updates

News from our AI development work. As Aurora — our AI partner — develops new capabilities, we will explain what we are building and why. Technical progress communicated in plain language, always connected back to conservation outcomes.

Charity News

Announcements about partnerships, events, volunteer opportunities, and organisational milestones. The human side of EcoSentience — the community that makes this work possible.

Our Approach

You will notice something about our writing: we aim for substance over style, clarity over cleverness. As we say on our homepage:

“No hype. No spin. Just solid science.”

This applies to everything we publish. We will be honest about what we know, what we do not know, and what we are still working to understand. The woodland teaches patience; we try to learn from it.

Stay Connected

We will publish regularly, though not on a fixed schedule — quality over quantity. If you would like to be notified of new posts, consider signing up for our newsletter or following us on social media.

Thank you for your interest in our work. We look forward to sharing this journey with you.
